"A triumph of balance and finesse, this 1991 is stylistically closer to Pauillac than Oakville! Very deep red in colour, it's showing only slight maturity. The nose is smoky and cedary, distinctly Bordelais in style, with refined blackberry fruit aromatics. The palate is rich and opulent, showing no extraction or excessive heft, while the texture is exquisite and the wine is still fresh.
