Fontanafredda, a historic estate in Piedmont, is renowned for its Barolos, Barbarescos, Dolcettos, Barbera d'Alba, and Moscato d'Asti. Established in 1858 by King Vittorio Emanuele II for Rosa Vercellana, whom he later made Countess of Mirafiori, the wine business began in 1878 under her leadership and that of the king’s son, Emanuele Guerrieri.
