Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils in Morey-Saint-Denis crafts mostly Pinot Noir from vineyards in Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. Les Amoureuses, meaning "The Lovers," is the most revered Premier Cru in Chambolle. Its light, chalky soil over limestone drains freely, limiting vigor and yielding small, concentrated berries.
